Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect at ReasonRun (the app, the site reasonrun.com and associated services, the "Platform"), what we use it for, who we share it with and what rights you have. By using the Platform, you accept the practices described here. We process your data in accordance with Personal Data Protection Law No. 25.326 of the Argentine Republic.

2. Data controller

The data controller is Tomás Schuenemann, CUIT 20-41923263-8, with address at 25 de Mayo 1253, Tandil, Province of Buenos Aires. For anything related to your data, write to us at tomasschuenemann@reasonrun.com.

3. What data we collect

• Identification and contact data: name, email address, phone (optional), city and area.
• Preferences: your intention when joining (meet people, make friends, compete, etc.), preferred destination (bar/café), time and distance. Used to form the groups.
• Location data: when you use the app, we collect your precise geolocation to show you the meeting point, generate the route and validate check-in and arrival. See Clause 6.
• Activity data: groups, runs, chat messages, ratings and post-event connections.
• Payment data: payment is processed through MercadoPago. We do not store your card details; we only keep the information needed to identify the transaction.
• Technical data: device information, app usage and browsing data (see Clause 9 on cookies).

4. What we use your data for

We use your data to:

• Form your running groups according to your preferences.
• Generate and unlock the meeting point, the route and the destination.
• Process payments and manage bookings, cancellations and refunds.
• Communicate with you (confirmations, reveal notices, service news).
• Keep the community safe and prevent misuse.
• Improve the Platform.

5. Basis for processing

Processing is based on your consent, which you give when registering and using the Platform, and on the performance of the contractual relationship between us. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Clause 10), without affecting processing already carried out.

6. Geolocation

Precise location is central to the service: without it we cannot show you the meeting point, guide you along the route or validate your check-in. The app requests your permission to access your location and you can revoke it from your device settings, understanding that this may prevent the use of certain features. We do not use your location for purposes other than operating the service.

7. Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with:

• Providers that render services to us (data processors):
  • MercadoPago — payment processing.
  • Supabase — database, authentication and storage.
  • Mapbox — maps and route generation.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Expo — push notifications.
• Destination venues (bars/cafés): before the event they receive a limited list of attendees with name and nationality, solely to receive the group.
• Other participants in your group: before the event they only see minimal data (nationality and language); after the event, if the social stage is enabled, they may see a fuller profile to connect.
• Authorities: when a law or court order so requires.

8. International data transfer

Some of our providers may host or process data outside Argentina. In those cases we adopt the safeguards required by Law No. 25.326 for international data transfers. By accepting this Policy, you consent to such transfers to the extent necessary to provide the service.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

On the website we use cookies and similar technologies for the operation of the site and, with your consent, for analytics. You can manage your preferences from the site's consent panel.

10. Your rights

As the data subject, you have the right to access, rectify, update and delete your personal data. To exercise them, write to us at tomasschuenemann@reasonrun.com; we may ask you to prove your identity. We will respond within the time frames set by law.

Informative text required (Law 25.326): The owner of the personal data has the right to exercise the right of access to it free of charge at intervals no shorter than six months, unless a legitimate interest to that effect is established. The AGENCY FOR ACCESS TO PUBLIC INFORMATION (AAIP), the controlling body of Law No. 25.326, has the authority to handle the complaints and claims filed in relation to non-compliance with personal data protection regulations.

11. Data retention

We keep your data while you have an active account and for the additional period necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. Afterwards we delete or anonymize it.

12. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No system is 100% foolproof, but we work to reduce risks and act on any incident.

13. Minors

ReasonRun is intended exclusively for people over 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we become aware that we have registered a minor's data, we will delete it.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. If there are significant changes, we will notify you through the Platform or by email. The version in force is the one published at reasonrun.com.
